Frequency (5)
The month of October ends in a day, and I’d like to know, has it been a perfect ten for you? It’s actually a life we’re getting used to already, right? The year just began and we’re already done with ten months.
Well, it might not have been the perfect year for everyone,
especially students of public universities in Nigeria, but I would like to
believe that through all the blessings and experiences, vital lessons have been
learnt that you would find helpful going forward in life.
At Gloryzone Church, every Sunday service has been filled
with such vital lessons, thanks to Dr Karis and other powerful ministers. Every
series taught in every month has been life-changing, and the coming month of
November promises to be the biggest of them all. This is because after a long
waiting period, the Outpouring Camp 22 is finally upon us, and it’s just three
weeks away.
If there is ever a program to see and taste the power of God
first-hand through the teaching of His Word, intense prayers, high-lifting
praise, intense worship and the moving of the Spirit, it is the Outpouring Camp
2022, and you can’t afford to miss it.
You can register here and I look forward to your participation there
Now, to today’s post, it was the final teaching in the
Frequency series, and the service also served as the Prophetic Impartation and
Miracle Service for the month of October.
Dr Karis taught on Frequency – Courage and Common Sense and
a lot of things were shared, some of which I would share here with you. In case
you missed them, other topics taught in the series are:
- Fundamentals of Divine Leading
- Inward Witness
- The Authoritative Voice of the Spirit
- Divine Leading through Your Teachers
Now, let’s go into the teaching for the day:
When it comes to hearing the voice of God and acting out on what He asks you to do, courage and bravery are important. It won’t always be pleasant, but the fact that God has spoken means that He is committed to performing it.
No one who did mighty things for God and the kingdom of
heaven ever achieved those things without courage. The likes of Abraham, David,
Jeremiah etc. all required courage to do the things they did.
In the charge given to Joshua in Joshua 1, the emphasis was
on him being strong and courageous even though God had promised them the land
of Canaan. As a Christian, your success is on you, God has already empowered
you.
Jeremiah was also required to be courageous, and not be afraid. God saw Jeremiah as a prophet to the nations when he saw himself as a youth who could not speak.
Do not be a victim of analysis paralysis
Most times, people know what God wants them to do but they
lack the courage to step out and it takes courage to kill the giants. If you
want to kill giants, you must be ready to take giant steps. Whatever God has
said to you, you have a part to play, and that part includes stepping out with
courage.
Every time you dodge facing Goliath, you’re prolonging your
journey to the throne.
How to Build Courage
1. Pray
You cannot rely on just prophecies without prayer, prayer makes things happen. Learn from Elijah, even when you hear the sound of abundance of rain, still, go and pray.
It is in prayer you will know the steps to take. Prayer will
help you generate the strength and courage to act. When there are times that
you want to step out and it seems there is no juice, no energy or motivation,
you bridge the gap by prayer.
Through prayer, you are fortified from within; you generate
the capacity for performance.
2. Prepare
When God speaks, start preparing. The more you prepare
towards a thing, the more confident you are. Sometimes, the fears are a
result of a lack of preparation.
There are certain things you cannot achieve without
preparation, planning, mentorship or adequate self-esteem.
The vision might appear very big, but you must learn to break it down into smaller steps. You must prepare. Today’s generation underestimates the power of preparation
3. Serve
Through service, you gain skills needed for the future. It is
in service that you build capacity for service and leadership. When you serve
in God’s house, you develop yourself and are better equipped to face and handle
challenges.
4. Take steps
Have a thick skin towards the opinions of men. Once God has
spoken, don’t listen to the negative voice of men no matter who they are;
family, friends, or even village people.
So, that’s where I stop for today. For more about the
teaching, including the part on common sense, visit Gloryzone Church on

Have a great week. See you in November!
