STRETCH WITH YOUR FAITH!

Recounting The Years (5)

Hello and how are you today? I trust you are fine and your day was good. I also hope you had church today, a physical service with fellow Christians. Well, if you did, that’s lovely. If you didn’t, we’re not too pleased, but we bring good news. A lot of people, over 200 so far, read my post on the senior pastor of Gloryzone Church, Dr Karis AmehWealth, and yes, he was one of them.

His positive review led to further discussions and finally, we are delighted to announce that we have received permission to use his Sunday teachings as our Sunday post for our readers. This means that on Sundays, we can, and will, share from his Sunday teachings with you. This doesn’t qualify as you having a church service today, and we don’t post everything either. We only post an abridged version of Sunday teachings with links that direct you to where you can get the full message, as that offers a better experience.

If you want to skip ahead to that already, you can find Gloryzone Church on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

If you’re still here though, let’s begin with today’s service.

The topic for today was: Stretch with Your Faith. This is the fifth part of the Recounting the Years series. Recounting the Years series has been focused on vital lessons from the ten-year journey of Gloryzone Church, which was celebrated this month as the Homecoming, and how massive it was (more details on social media platforms of Gloryzone Church).

So, on Stretch with Your Faith, we bring you the highlights:

It was a powerful service and a vital part of that was the message. With rapt attention, and rapid reactions, people listened and responded as Dr Karis delivered another powerful teaching, but what did he say?

First, he made it clear that productivity and fruitfulness is a proof of true discipleship (John 15:8). God expects that we live a purposeful and driven life. As humans and as Christians, we all have a single purpose: to know Christ and make Him known. We might go about this purpose with unique approaches or methods, but the purpose remains the same.

The faith journey begins with diligence, giving diligence to your faith. We should actively engage our faith in our daily living, and not use it as a last resort. Faith is an important component of vision (Hab 2:4). People with visions are not vague, and neither is their vision. They chase it, reflect it, and actively display it in their lifestyle; their speech, actions, investments, and associations. The vision they carry is clear and concise.

Your faith serves as a communication with God and is a transport system you use to bring the things you desire from the realm of the unseen to the realm of the seen. It is a response to God’s word. This response will take you out of your comfort zone, and that’s where the stretching begins and is where your true fulfilment lies. You must be conditioned to stretch with your faith out of your comfort zone.

Case studies given were the lives of Abraham, Noah, and Mary, the mother of Jesus. They all responded to God’s word when it wasn’t convenient for them, and they changed the course of history.

We respond to God by responding to:

1. His word

2. Instructions of the Spirit

3. Nudgings and promptings of your heart

Keep the faith, be tough, let God carry you into the future by stretching you.

I’ll stop here, there’s much more in the full message, some things I missed out on purpose, I’m not your pastor. I’ll however, leave you with a few quotes to meditate upon

Quotes to Remember

"The ultimate vision of faith is to power a visionary life"

"Faith is not a spare tyre. Faith was designed to be a lifestyle"

"Faith is response to God’s Word in obedience or as a corresponding action that you are persuaded about what He has said."

"The purpose of life is not about happiness. Life is not about feelings; it is about focus…..it is about destiny fulfilment"

"Your faith works like a muscle; you must stretch it to be able to carry more, do more"
