Talk with Willy Newsletter for June

Dear TWW Tribe,

May was good, June was better. We have come further in our journey and it has been smoother than we had anticipated because we have you. The dream of a young man has taken deeper roots and has covered every continent on the face of the earth.

Talk with Willy, now fondly called TWW, went better than May in June. Awesome achievements we can’t wait to share and even more amazing plans for the second half of the year.

In this letter, I would list a number of achievements we have made within a month, thanks to the efforts of the entire tribe:

1. 10,000+ Views

We hit over 10,000 page views last month, and that blew our minds away! This was more than we had gotten in April and May combined, and we are thankful to everyone who made this happen. We would do our best to keep serving you consistently improving content. Thank you for sticking with us and for spreading our word.

2. Further Team Growth Imminent

Our team is now six people strong, and rising! What started with one man eventually became three people, and now we have added another three. You’ve met Willy, Lillie, and Ajibola, and now you’ve seen Gift, Giselle, and Penny.

Expanding work has necessitated increase in team strength and we are going bigger this July, watch out!

3. More Writers, More Content

You now enjoy Lillie’s Social Spot on Saturdays, and on Wednesday, Ajibola brings you Fin Talk. It has been overdue but you should expect Penny and more this month!

4. Publicity Team

We have been able to organically coordinate a group of excellent volunteers who share our content with their contacts. Efforts have slacked somewhat, but we understand with our readers who have our best intentions at heart and appreciate those who still share our content.

We cannot express how helpful this has been to us, and how it has boosted our reach. We are super grateful to these amazing individuals

5. Instagram Growth by 56%

For certain reasons, our Instagram engagement slowed down last month, but we were able to still record a 56% increase in our followers count.

We are doing better this July, and you would see it for yourself.

6. Twitter Growth by 35%

Have you followed us yet on Twitter? Well, 37 people have and hopefully, you’ll be one of them soon. Twitter is already serving as our second top referral driver and we seek to use it further in giving updates on community activity, engagement, and of course, it’s where most of our giveaways are done.

7. LinkedIn Page Launch

We are now on LinkedIn! This was done to help us connect with our more professional audience and allow our exceptional volunteers and team members register their working experience with us on their profile.

Just look up Talk with Willy and there we are.

8. Support Page Update

Our Support Us page was launched in May, and we have gone a step further. To ensure that we grow in quality and scope of work we do for you, you can now support us through PayPal. This would help us collect your donation in foreign currency better and offset operating cost.
